The Pantone Color Institute has released its top 10 colours in fashion for Spring/Summer 2017 based on the hues that stole the spotlight on the runway during New York’s Fashion Week latest edition. In a press release, Leatrice Eiseman, Executive Director of the Institue, said designers used colour in playful, yet thoughtful combinations on the runway that captured the “promises, hope and transformation that we yearn for each spring.”
According to Pantone’s Spring 2017 Fashion Color Report, the upcoming spring is likely to see all the colours of nature delivered on garments, bringing a mixture of vitality, relaxation and the great outdoors. Colours range varies from energetic and bright hues of blue, red and yellow to more muted and peaceful hues of the same colours to allow you to mitigate the intense vibrancy of the previous shades when wanted.
Despite the highlight of this report being in fashion, these colours are not exclusive for clothes. There is no question they will also be seen in accessories, shoes and even in interior design.
